The Manual Tests module lets security teams and penetration testers run human-driven assessments alongside automated scanning. It gives you a structured way to execute manual test cases, track which security checks are complete, and record what you find into Kikimora’s central repository.

Key concepts

• Manual test — a scoped assessment project representing one audit or penetration test engagement, such as a cloud infrastructure assessment or a web application pentest.
• Checklist — a standardized or customized suite of security checks attached to a manual test to guide the testing procedure.
• Check — an individual test case inside a checklist, which a tester evaluates and marks Pass, Failed, or N/A.
• Manual vulnerability — a flaw uncovered during manual testing. These flow into the central Vulnerabilities module, so manual findings are tracked, remediated, and reported alongside scanned ones.
